The endless silence of the desert speaks through the cracks in the earth. For hundreds of years, this land, scorched by the sun, has held the dream of water in its heart.

One day, a small hollow forms among the dry sand. The wind shapes it; time deepens it. But it doesn’t remain empty; one night, the color of the sky suddenly falls into it.

A blue glow fills the bowl, like a hidden hope in the midst of the drought. An oasis has now emerged in the middle of the desert: on the outside, it is hard, scarred, and rough… but on the inside, it is as calm as water, as breath, as life itself.

This ceramic piece was created, drawing inspiration from the varied structure of the Kum series. Just like shifting sands, a natural balance was sought between the fragility on the outside of the form and the stillness within it.

“Oasis” tells the story of nature’s quietest miracle:
